Dates: 20th Jun - 4th July 2009

Holiday Overview:

Each year, both those who return and newcomers, never fail to exclaim at the beauty and surroundings of the Villa Holiday in Umbria. We continue to use this wonderful location for our studio-based painting holidays.

The Villa, is a very spacious18th century traditional Umbrian Manor, which is located on a hillside above the Tiber valley, set in large and secluded grounds. There are wonderful views of the Umbrian Hills from the villa, and the medieval town of Todi is only a short distance away.

We have found the comfort, peaceful surrounds and ample space fulfills the needs of those who come, whether wanting to take advantage of the painting programme, or to be part of the explorers (non-painting) group. There are excursions to new and familiar places each year providing abundant resource material for the painters. The working environment of studio and gardens suits those who would like to combine serious work with relaxation in beautiful surroundings, or continue with on-location painting. Both experienced artists and those new to painting and drawing can produce a satisfying body of work. The spacious studio is on the ground floor, with 24 hour access.

The Villa is located 3km from Todi and about 35km from Orvieto. The main square in Todi has been described as one of the most beautiful in Italy. There will be several opportunities to visit this attractive town in addition to other planned excursions.

Non-artists are welcomed: Find out more...

The alternative programme, for non-painters, partners and friends, provides a good opportunity for additional exploration as well as visits to not-to-be-missed places of interest.
