Programme

Our first stop will be Tuscania in Northern Lazio, now medieval in character, but the site of the ancient Etruscan Acropolis or civic centre. We will then move north to Sovana, Sorena and Ptigliano areas in Southern Tuscany, the region of the 'civita del Tufo' linked by ancient 'caverna'; also visiting the unusual excavations at Vulci; we then travel via Siena (one day visit) to Volterra, a walled town in the north of the Etruscan empire.

Suitable for all abilities and using easy to carry materials, the emphasis will be on drawing and sketch-book work at a variety of locations rather than studio painting.
