Painting Italia holidays are organised by artists for artists, aspiring artists and lovers of Italy alike.

Penny, a practicing artist, has been organising cultural art trips to Italy for over 10 years; up until 4 years ago, primarily to visit exhibitions and Art galleries in places such as Rome, Venice, Florence and Siena. As a result of feedback from many of the participants on these trips, she started painting, drawing and exploring holidays, visiting lesser known areas of Italy, and "Painting Italia" was born.

The aim is to give anyone with the desire to paint and sketch the opportunity to learn, and to provide a stimulating environment for the more experienced artist to develop their own work, combining this with an enjoyable holiday in a memorable part of Italy.

Non-artists are welcomed
It was also recognised that non-painting partners need to have as satisfying a holiday as the painters, rather than having to fend for themselves. Accompaniedtrips to places of interest, by air-condioned transport take place most days. The cost of all excursions is included in the price and it is usually possible to include suggestions from participants in the itinerary.
